Configure Email Client to use SMTP Authentication and SSL
SMTP is the protocol used to send email across the Internet. Normally, SMTP servers only allow clients within their own network to relay mail through them. Machines that allow anyone to send mail through them are known as open relays and are frequently used to relay Unsolicited Commercial Email, "Spam," to unsuspecting people around the world.
SMTP authentication is a way of allowing people outside of our network to use us for their SMTP server when sending email. We allow SMTP authentication as an option so our customers who may not be connecting directly to the FRII network can still fully utilize our email services.
Click on the name of your email client above for instructions on how to enable SMTP authentication and SSL.
